Spatialists.ch is a new geospatial news curation site created by @rsm. It tries to offer a focused lens on interesting news and noteworthy advancements within our field, with a bias towards – but definitely not limited to – #SwissGIS news.
Spatialists is not a full-fledged blog with long articles, commentary and opinion as was common mid-2000s to 2010s. Instead, it follows the pattern of a microblogging-style news curation service to deliver interesting content to professionals in our field in a concise and easily digestible form.
Content
Spatialists has published roughly three short articles per week, so far. The most recent posts include:
- GeoParquet to come to Esri ArcGIS Pro
- Toponyms
- Normalize your choropleths
- Geospatial tech radar by Element 84 (by Stephan Heuel)
- geodienste.ch: STAC API and OGC API Features
- Python uv
