Thx Stefan. I've been wanting to answer you for several weeks, now that I've a bit of time to do so ...

About STAC, it may be interesting to have a look to the outputs of OGC Testbed-17 experiments -- [docs.ogc.org/per/] -- with some interesting lessons learned in these docs :

- OGC 21-025 about the "The combined use of COG and easy to use remote sensing data catalogues such as SpatioTemporal Asset Catalogs (STAC, [stacspec.org/]), simplifies finding and accessing large volumes and long series of remote sensing products."

- OGC 21-032 about "COG and ZARR integration with source catalogues in STAC format"

- OGC 21-019 (D167) about "A system to publish array-oriented datasets in a tiled manner, through a STAC catalog and storing the resulting NetCDF files in AWS S3 buckets"

All the best,
Olivier Ertz.

Teil 1 - "Die Cloud Native Geospatial Vision": [www.ogc.org/blog/4607]
Teil 2 - "Komponenten von Cloud-Native Geospatial Standards": [www.ogc.org/blog/4609]

Ich bin gespannt, was Ihre Meinung dazu ist.

Freundliche Grüsse, Stefan Keller
